Under $7 a piece Ross Haul

Hello Lovlies,

I get asked a lot about where I shop and one of the stores that has been taking over my wardrobe is Ross! I have been shopping there non stop for clothes, dog items, shoes, and many more.

Ross is a department store that holds many brands and many styles, there are several scattered around Houston. The things I have learned from Ross is that you have to search and hunt for the right items. Overall Ross has many selections, they might not always have the best fashion items but there are always pieces that you can find to fit your style. Ross gets shipments in every morning and by the afternoon time, most of their clothes and items are op the shelf. This is great because that means there will always be fresh new finds. Each location varies on what items they receive and what items become discounted. I like to cycle between two locations near me to find the best deals, because every Ross is different.

This past visit I had a great trip to Ross. I was able to find reduced items below $7 apiece.

  1. Maroon and White Striped Dress ( tear ) - $1.99

  2. Two-Piece Floral Burnt Orange Set - $10.99 ( around $5 apiece )

  3. Burnt Orange High-Waisted Wide Leg Pants - $6.49

  4. Green Button Up Top - $4.49

  5. Black Knit Turtle Neck Top - $1.49

  6. Brown and White Striped Dress - $2.99

I would say the overall cloth quality of each piece is good, every piece I have owned has done its justice and I have not had issues with shrinking or tears from wear/wash.

Sue’ s tips for shopping at Ross:

  • Arrive in the afternoon once the shipment had been put on the shelves

  • Check the kid's shoe section, cheaper shoes. ( these are estimated sizing )

    • Size 5 Women - 4 Kids

    • Size 6 Women - 5 Kids

    • Size 7 Women - 5/6 Kids

    • Size 8 Women - 6.5

  • Always check clearance sections. My fave ones:

    • Dress Clearance

    • Women Athletic Pants

    • Junior Clearance

    • Kitchen Clearance - Not always a section, just look for purple reduced pricing stickers

  • Great dresses for every location - “ Junior dress” is the best rack for trendy dresses

  • Ross has great dog/cat items for those pet moms/dads. They are affordable and have everything you will need from, beds, bowls, toys, shirts, treats, and accessories.

Hope these tips were helpful, let the sales hunt begin!!

This green button-up top can be worn in many ways. I paired it with a high-waisted black paperbag shorts that I had bought from H&M. Originally I had the top button up and tied at the bottom but then I went ahead and button the bottom of the shirt and tucked it in. I let the first two buttons undone. I wore a black lace bralette under it to give some lace detail when I opened the first button. I wore a simple brown suede mule with a small heel. The shoes matched my brown buttons.
This two-piece was really comfortable and fun to wear. The material was light and thin, which is great for Houston’s hot weather. I paired this two-piece with an ankle lace up brown sandals with woven bottoms. I tied the top to create a small knot on the front to make it clench my waist better. Always a great trick for any loose tops that you want to show off your waist.
This was a simple brown and white button dress that was loose fitted. The material is a satin silky fabric which is great on the skin. To make this dress not look like a nightgown, I put a belt around the waist to create some curve and paired it with simple black strapped heels.
The burnt orange high-waisted flare pant is a great piece to wear to the office or to lunch. I wore it with the black top which was soft and comfy. The short turtle neck was a great extension of the top, it was not tight and suffocating. For my shoes, I wore black Italian loafer mules, aka, dad shoes. (They make my feet look big tbh)

I wore a headband to create some color and currently really loving different headbands. It’s great for 3 day old hair/oily hair/lazy day hair.
